I'm still editing my Thesis Film at home. But starting on Friday, we're gonna be shooting Ajani's film. As soon as I'm done with my film, I'll put a trailer on the web and let you know.

Champs Elysees

"Tour de France" is over!
FR: Le Tour de France est termine!

The team Phonak finally won the "Tour de France" with Floyd Landis. The Swiss Team and an American cycler did a very good job during these 3 weeks. Congratulations!

FR: L'equipe Phonak a enfin gagne le Tour de France grace a Floyd Landis. La seule equipe Suisse et le coureur Americain ont fait du bon boulot durant ces 3 semaines. Bravo!

I hope you enjoyed watching the race as much as I did.

Saturday Night on the CityWalk

We went to the CityWalk and enjoyed a lot the concert of Paperback Hero. They're a pretty good band and they'll be there on August 5 again. If I'm not working, I'll be there.

FR: On a ete au CityWalk et on a beaucoup apprecie le concert de Paperback Hero. Ils sont plutot bons et seront de retour le 5 aout. Si je ne travaille pas, j'y serai.

Superman Returns

FR: Hello!

We watched Superman Returns yesterday. Bryan Singer is an amazing director. He did a great job and casted some very good actors. Brandon Routh is perfect as Superman and Kate Bosworth is pretty good as Lois Lane. But Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor is phenomenal and totally crazy!

FR: On a vu Superman Returns hier. Bryan Singer est un incroayble realisateur. Il a fait un tres bon boulot et a caste quelques tres bons acteurs. Brandon Routh est parfait en tant que Superman et Kate Bosworth est plutot pas mal en Lois Lane. Mais Kevin Spacey, le nouveau Lex Luthor est phenomenal est completement cingle!

It's a vey good movie, so check it out and stay for the end credits. The movie was dedicated to Christopher and Dana Reeve. Thank you for that Mr Bryan Singer!

Floyd "Show" Landis

The "Tour de France" is usually over after the Alps. But this year, we have 3 people in around 30 seconds. That's just crazy. Are we gonna see the same kind of end that we saw a couple of years ago between Greg LeMond and Laurent Fignon ? 8 seconds between the first and the second ?

FR: Le Tour de France est en general joue apres les Alpes. Mais cette annee, nous avons 3 coureurs en environ 30 seconds. C'est tout simplement fou. Allons-nous revoir le meme final qu'entre Greg LeMond et Laurent Fignon ? 8 secondes entre le premier et le deuxieme ?

Phonak Looses The Yellow Jersey

Hi everyone!
FR: Bonjour a tous!

I know, I'm more talking about cycling than about filmmaking. But as you know, I'm almost 2 weeks off, so I decided to concentrate a little on the editing of my thesis film and also a little on the "Tour de France".

FR: Je sais, je parle plus de cyclisme que de realisation. Mais comme vous le savez, j'ai presque 2 semaines de conge, alors j'ai decide de me concentrer un petit peu sur le montage de mon film de these et egalement un petit peu sur le Tour de France.

Difficult day for Phonak, they lost the yellow jersey. Floyd Landis was not in a great shape today. But fantastic day for the phenomenal Rasmussen who win this stage. Congratulations!

FR: Dure journee pour Phonak qui perd le maillot jaune. Floyd Landis n'etait pas au mieux de sa forme aujourd'hui. Mais superbe journee pour Rasmussen qui nous a fait une etape magnifque. Felicitations!

L'Alpe d'Huez

Big day in the "Tour de France" yesterday. The arrival was in l'Alpe d'Huez. Unfortunatly, I couldn't be there like twice these last years. The ambiance is just phenomenal. 1 million people in 12 kilometers or 21 turns. Floyd Landis from the team Phonak took back the yellow jersey.

FR: Gros jour pour le Tour hier. L'arrivee a l'Alpe d'Huez. Malheureusement, je ne pouvais pas y etre comme 2 fois les dernieres annees. L'ambiance est incroyable. 1 million de personne en 12 kilometres ou 21 virages. Floys Landis de chez Phonak a recupere le maillot jaune.

Some crazy stuff is waiting for the cyclists today. Espacially the first "col hors categorie" which is "Col du Galibier". Over 40 kilometers up the hill and after that, le "Col de la Croix-de-Fer" which is also totally crazy. Good Luck guys!

FR: Quelques trucs fous attendent les cyclistes du Tour aujourd'hui. Surtout le premier col hors categorie, le col du Galibier. Plus de 40 kilometres de montee et juste apres ca, le col de la Croix-de-Fer qui est egalement completement fou. Bonne chance les gars!

We went to the City Walk of Universal Studios with Fabienne. It was pretty nice and still impressive. This place is just crazy and amazing.

FR: On a ete au City Walk d'Universal Studios avec Fabienne. C'etait plutot sympa et toujours aussi impressionnant. Cet endroit et simplement fou et sublime.

Today (Tuesday), I met Vincent Gillioz who is a music composer. For those who saw the TV show "Temps Present - Les Suisses a Hollywood", he was in there. Check his website: www.vincentgillioz.com.

Relax!

It's so cool to relax a little after these crazy months at school. But I can't wait to edit my film. I'm going to start today. And in 10 days, back on the set for Ajani's shoot.

FR: C'est cool de se relaxer un peu apres ces mois de folies a l'ecole. Mais je ne peux plus d'attendre de faire le montage de mon film. Je vais d'ailleurs commencer aujourd'hui. Et dans 10 jours, retour sur le set pour le film d'Ajani.

Sightseeing Weekend in San Diego

Hi Everybody!
FR: Bonjour a tous!

This weekend was gorgeous, we had a very nice time from Friday afternoon until Sunday night. We went to San Diego (Del Mar Beach, Mira Mesa, Gaslamp, Downtown, Old Town) and also to Venice Beach in Los Angeles.

FR: Ce weekend etait superbe, on a passe un tres bon moment de vendredi apres-midi a dimanche soir. Nous sommes alles a San Diego (plage de Del Mar, Mira Mesa, Gaslamp, Downtown, Old Town) ainsi qu'a Venice Beach a Los Angeles.

We spent the night in San Diego in a suite at the Hyatt Hotel. Roy and his family invited us there and it was phenomenal. The view of the San Diego Bay was just unbelievable, beautiful, gorgeous, fantastic, terrific!

FR: On a passe la nuit a San Diego dans une suite de l'hotel Hyatt. Roy et sa famille nous ont invite et c'etait phenomenal. La vue de la baie de San Diego etait simplement incroyable, superbe, fabuleuse, fantastique!

In San Diego, we met Roy, Takashi and Savinien. It was nice to see them. Roy after 3 years, Takashi one year and I met Savinien for the first time. Very nice people, it was nice to spend the weekend with them.

FR: A San Diego, nous avons revu Roy, Takashi et Savinien. C'etait cool de les revoir. Roy apres 3 ans, Takashi apres une annee et c'etait la premiere fois que je rencontrais Savinien. C'etait vraiment sympa de passer le weekend avec eux.

We came back on Saturday night. Sunday, we went to Venice Beach to take some pictures and enjoy the sun of California :-)

FR: Nous sommes revenu de San Diego samedi soir. Dimanche, on a ete a Venice Beach pour prendre quelques photos et profiter du soleil californien :-)

The Mountains of France

After I shot my film about cycling, it's pretty nice to see that the Tour de France just arrived in the Pyrenees. It starts to be very interesting. If you want to watch cycling on TV, do it now!

FR: Apres avoir tourne mon film au sujet de cyclisme, c'est plutot sympa de voir que le Tour de France vient d'arriver dans les Pyrenees. Ca commence a etre tres interessant. Si vous voulez voir du cyclisme a la TV, c'est le bon moment!

"THAT'S A WRAP!" - "C'EST DANS LA BOITE!"

I said these magical words in the Angeles National Forrest yesterday, Tuesday July 11th 2006 at 12:45. We shot my Thesis film in around 30 hours within 2,5 days. The actors were magnificent, fantastic, gorgeous, incredible!

FR: J'ai prononce ces mots magiques dans la Angeles National Forrest hier, mardi 11 juillet 2006 a 12:45. On a tourne mon film de these en environ 30 heures sur 2,5 jours. Les acteurs etaient magnifiques, fantastiques, superbes, incroyables!

Joseph, Shannon, Elliott, Hugh, Thurston, Annette, Alejandro, you were awesome and so easy to work with. A huge thank you to all of you guys!

FR: Joseph, Shannon, Elliott, Hugh, Thurston, Annette, Alejandro, vous avez tous etez extras et c'est si facile de travailler avec vous. Un enorme merci a vous tous!

And what can I say about the crew ? A special thanks to Alex who came to help me out on Saturday, you did a great job and you were so freakin' helpful! Chris, Ajani, Kim, you're the best crew ever! Jose, my DP, I love you. What else can I say ?

FR: Un paragraphe particulier pour mon ami, amour, Pat. Ce gars a ete producteur, s'est occupe de la nourriture, des lumieres, transport de materiel, a porte le micro sur le set et toutes les autres choses que nous ne savons meme pas. Pat, merci mille fois. Je t'aime!

The last special thanks is for Fabienne, of course. The woman I love hasn't seen me a lot these last days. She was a fantastic support for me on this film. It wasn't easy for me to talk about my accident which happened more than 9 years ago. She was here for me! Thank you, I love you, I love you, I love you!

FR: Un dernier remerciement tres particulier pour Fabienne, bien sur. La femme que j'aime ne m'a pas beaucoup vu ces derniers jours. Elle a ete d'une aide tres precieuse pour moi sur ce film. C'etait pas facile pour moi de parle de mon accident meme s'il a eu lieu il y a plus de 9 ans. Elle etait la pour moi. Merci, je t'aime fort fort fort!!!

Tour de France

Hi everybody!
FR: Bonjour a tous!

The Tour de France started a couple of days ago. And even before the actual start, there were crazy stuff going on with some of the best cyclists. Shame!

FR: Le Tour de France a commence il y a quelques jours. Et meme avant le depart reel, de gros problemes sont apparus avec quelques-uns des meilleurs cyclistes. Dommage!

I hope that it's gonna be better in the next 3 weeks, because the Tour de France is supposed to be fun and no stupid drug things.

FR: J'espere que ca ira mieux durant les 3 prochaines semaines, parce que le Tour de France est suppose etre fun et pas des problemes de drogue.

I take the opportunity to say thank you to this country to let me live my dream in Hollywood and to all the people I've met so far. Americans are gorgeous people!
