The Sentinel

FR: Hello!

I went to the movie theater to watch a couple of movies.
FR: Je suis alle au cinema pour visionner quelques films.

I saw, American Dreamz, The Sentinel, Benchwarmers, Ice Age, Friends with Money. They're all good. In American Dreamz, you'll see an amazing Hugh Grant, the Benchwarmers and Ice Age are very funny movies, Jennifer Aniston is adorable in Friends with Money.

FR: J'ai vu American Dreamz, The Sentinel, Benchwarmers, Ice Age, Friends with Money. Ils sont tous bon. Dans American Dreamz, vous alle voir un incroyable Hugh Grant, Benchwarmers et Ice Age sont tres droles et Jennifer Aniston et adorable dans Friends with Money.

In the Sentinel, Michael Douglas is gorgeous, unbelivable, incredible, fantastic! He has 2 other good actors with him who are Kiefer Sutherland (24) and Eva Longoria (Desperate Housewives). But he is way over all the others. As Pete Garrison, a special agent close to the president of the US, he's just perfect. Kim Bassinger plays the first lady wonderfully, and she's just beautiful.

FR: Dans Sentinel, Michael Douglas est superbe, incroyable, fantastique! Il a 2 autres tres bons acteurs avec lui qui sont Kiefer Sutherland du show 24 et Eva Longoria du show Desperate Housewives. Mais il est loin au-dessus des autres. En tant que Pete Garrison, agent special proche du president des Etats-Unis, il est simplement parfait. Kim Bassinger est la first lady de splendide maniere, et elle est simplement magnifique

Semester One is over

Good morning everybody!
FR: Bonjour a tous!

After almost 10 days of silence, there is finally a new message on my blog.
FR: Apres presque 10 jours de silence, enfin un nouveau message sur mon blog.

The editing of the Semester One film was very nice. Not that long actually, but it finally came up pretty good. As my teacher said, I missed some story points which makes it hard to unterstand. And he is right.

FR: Le montage du film du premier semester etait tres bien. Pas trop long en fait, et finallement, le film sort bien. Comme l'a dit mon prof, j'ai oublie quelques chapitre dans l'histoire, ce qui rend le film difficile a comprendre. Et il a raison.

The first semester is now over. And I have one week vacation. I can sleep, I really need to sleep. Anyway, I was supposed to work as a Production Assistant with another student on an actual set this weekend, and finally they postponed to next weekend.

FR: Le premier semestre est termine. Et j'ai une semaine de vacances. Je peux enfin dormir, j'ai vraiment besoin de dormir. J'etais cense travailler en tant qu'assistant de production ce weekend avec un autre etudiant sur un vrai tournage. Finallement, ils ont renvoye au weekend prochain.

I have no plan for this week which is cool, I can relax. Maybe a short trip to Vegas, I don't know, it depends on other students.

FR: Je n'ai pas de plan pour cette semaine, ce qui est agreable, je peux me detendre. Peut-etre un rapide saut par Vegas, ca dependra des autres etudiants.

Films Are Done

FR: Bonjour!

After 9 days of shooting, all our films are done. Now, the hard work, which is editing, comes. It's gonna be awesome to look at the film coming to life.

FR: Apres 9 jours de tournage, tous nos films sont faits. Maintenant, le gros boulot, le montage, arrive. Ca va etre grandiose de voir le film prendre vie.

On the picture, you can see Simon, Cody, myself, Anthony, Vartan and Kim. We were the crew members of Rob (he's not on the picture, he was director that day) except Anthony and Vartan who are actors.

FR: Sur la photo, il y a Simon, Cody, moi-meme, Anthony, Vartan et Kim. On etait le team de Rob (il n'est pas sur la photo, il etait directeur ce jour-la) a l'exception de Anthony et Vartan qui sont acteurs.

First Semester Film

FR: Hello!

We just started the shooting of our first semester film. That one is going to be screened, I think and hope, at the Egyptian Theater on Hollywood Boulevard.

FR: Nous avons juste commencer le tournage de notre film du premier semestre. Ce film sera diffuse, dumoins je l'espere, au cinema Egyptian sur Hollywood Boulevard.

Today, the first scene was at 1 o'clock in the afternoon. We finished tonight at 11pm. Tomorrow morning, we're starting at 9am until 12 or 1pm for my film. We're gonna start the second film tomorrow night at 5pm and finish at around 2:30 am.

FR: Aujourd'hui, la premiere scene etait a 13h00. On a fini ce soir a 23h00. Demain matin, on commence a 9h00 jusqu'a 12h00 ou 13h00 pour mon film. Nous allons commencer le 2eme film demain soir a 17h00 et finir aux alentours de 2h30 du matin.

As you can see, the schedule is very hard and intensiv. But it's really cool.
FR: Comme vous pouvez le voir, le planning est dur et intense, mais c'est le pied!

We had some practicums with our teachers during the last couple of weeks. It was fun and the interesting part was the editing. Because it was the first time that we didn't edit our own film.

FR: Nous avons eu des practicums avec les profs durant les dernieres semaines. C'etait excellent et la partie la plus interessante etait le montage. Parce que c'etait la premiere fois qu'on ne faisait pas le montage de nos propres films.

So Kim impressed our directing teacher 2 weeks ago and she's the winner of the Oscar. He also said today that I did a good job in the editing room for my director.

FR: Kim a donc impressionne notre prof principal et elle est la gagnante de l'Oscar. Il a aussi dit aujourd'hui que j'avais fait un tres bon boulot dans la salle de montage pour le film de mon realisateur.

Basic Instincts 2

FR: Hello!

Last weekend, I went to the movie theater and watched Inside Men. It was good, but the story was not very easy to understand I think. Well, it's a Spike Lee movie and I have to say that I love his style.

FR: Le weekend dernier, je suis alle au cinema et j'ai vu Inside Men. C'etait bien, mais l'histoire pas tres facile a comprendre je trouve. Bref, c'est Spike Lee et j'avoue que j'aime beaucoup son style.

I also saw Basic Instincts 2. Sharon Stone is really perfect in her role of femme fatale. Like in the first one, there are a couple of endings possible.

FR: J'ai egalement vu Basic Instincts 2. Sharon Stone y est excellente dans son role de femme fatale. Comme dans le premier volet, il y a plusieurs fins possibles.
