Editing: The Place To Be

FR: Bonjour a tous!

We went to an editing room today in the Universal Studios. We met the editor of the TV show Law & Order: Victim Special Unit. It was very very very interesting to touch the real world of editing. They actually use AVID and not Final Cut Pro.

FR: Nous sommes alle dans une salle de montage aujourd'hui dans les studios Universal. On a rencontre le monteur du show TV New York: Unite Speciale. C'etait tres tres tres interessant de toucher le monde reel du montage. En fait, il travaille sur AVID et non sur Final Cut Pro.

The person we met has already worked on films and other TV shows, Buffy. Depending on the show, the editing style is totally different in the "cuts".

FR: La personne que nous avons rencontre a deja travaille sur des films et d'autres shows TV, notamment Buffy. Selon les shows TV, les methodes de montage sont totalement differentes au niveau des "cuts".

I want to work as an editor, and why not in the Universal Studios, it smells dream.
FR: Je veux travailler en tant qu'editeur et pourquoi pas aux studios Universal, ca sent le reve.
